 Strength WoD:

Push Press

5 - 5 - 5 - 5 - 5

  • The Push Press is an amazing tool for developing and showcasing our ability to embody "Core To Extremity" movement. Without proper function from our hips that barbell simply isn't getting the power generation it needs, and would remain a Strict shoulder press until it does so. We need to harness and utilise our strong hips to propel that bar up off our shoulders and transfer that energy into the arms to lock it out! When does correctly it is poetry in motion!!
  • Remember though, we are Push Pressing, NOT Jerking so get after it & brace tightly in those legs as you finish pushing the rep out!
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale as needed.
