WoD: "Hill Street Blues"
Complete 18 - 15 - 12 - 9 - 6 - 3 (Reps) For Time of:
Thrusters
Power Snatch
Toes To Bar
.
M: 35kg --|-- W: 25kg
.
- Hooooooeeeey!! Hows that grip??
- Lots to take in when you first look at this one. First up the bar is lightweight & should be considered lightweight. Just because its says 35 & 25kg people will view this as a small number, yet when they shove the plates on they find they cannot do 18 thrusters unbroken let alone 18 power snatches at that weight.
- When we plan workouts we ALWAYS have a reason, a plan and a stimulus in mind for it. If we say we want you to be able hit up the sets of 18 on the barbell unbroken then we are looking for a barbell cycling style workout to happen. If you find you cannot do this at the prescribed weight then by that definition the bar is now too HEAVY! We should never assume the same numerical amount on the bar means the same thing from workout to workout. Each one has its own unique spa and perspective on how it thinks Fitness works. That right there is the beauty of CrossFit!
- Moral of the story? Listen up during the intro led by the Coach at the start and listen to story that unfolds. If you take on board the desired intents for the WoD, and you need to scale the prescription in order to that then you will get the absolute best out of it and get a little bit Fitter in the process. Remember #scalingisnotacrime
- Scale as needed.
