Double Under (x 2 reps)

  • Workhorse.
  • Its Meaning = "a person or machine that dependably performs hard work over a long period of time". (thanks Google!).
  • Today will be just about that. Getting the work done. Theres a lot in front of you as you begin this WoD but try not to focus on the global effect of the WoD (all the reps totalled up), but instead just focus on your efforts in that given moment on that particular movement. If you put your energy & effort into that one move you are on, be it the 30 Toes To Bar, and you systematically work through to completion before moving on, you are in the right headspace. If you get caught up in trying to do it in one set & then if/when it breaks down (because maybe you weren't at the level yet of trying to do it unbroken) you begin to look negatively at the move. That alone will make this WoD unenjoyable & seemingly unachievable.
  • There are times to try to rinse out sets unbroken & grab the best time. Then there are days where you have a task in front of you. When you then come out & perform that task to your best effort & ability you will see the positive results come off the back of that.
  • This will be a great training exercise in moving well & learning what kinds of sets/reps you are able to achieve at a given moment. Try stuff out by all means but don't do it at the cost of your technique.
  • We will place time cap to the WoD (cos y'know life & work & coffee & stuff) but if you work methodically you'll be just fine!
  • Side note = record your row/bike time down next to your overall time at the end.
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale As needed.
