- Strength Day y'all!
- The shoulder press is a fundamental strength builder that often gets left behind as folks would rather move onto the sexier, more dynamic versions such as the push press & jerk (Does this remind you of a conversation about strict pull ups & handstand push ups versus their kipping counterparts???).
- We want 30 Heavy reps out of you guys today. Choose your loads carefully. Adding just 1kg can make a world of difference from one set to the next. Don't be that guy who adds 5kg because "what have i got to lose?". Well we can tell you you have a lot of valuable volume work that your shoulders will be missing out on.
- You may not realise yet but you are going to need lots of rest between sets and you will have to work dang hard to ensure you actually get all 30 Heavy reps over your head! #intensitycomesinmanyforms
- Lift Heavy*. Have fun!!
- *= "Heavy" is a relative term. Meaning that the actual number of kgs does not matter. What does matter is that YOU have lifted as Heavy as you were able to safely, & in turn YOU forced an adaptation upon your own body.
- Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
- Scale as needed.
