Strength WoD - "One & Done"
Complete For Loads:
Clean & Jerk
1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1
.
- Going for a 1 Rep-Max ninth technical lifts requires a heap of concentration & coordination throughout the entirety of the rep. Losing focus can often lead to missed reps. Quite often a missed attempt at a Clean & Jerk isn't down to just pure strength, it is down to lack of focus or a technical fault. Something as simple as not moving your feet enough can derail a heavy lift.
- There are 7 sets to record. Target your PR/goal weight for the 4th or 5th set and back-track accordingly from there to ascertain where you would want to open up with (think 75-80% of a know/current max). We will take some warm ups at lighter loads to refine our positions so that when we set the clock for the work sets we can rely on that technique to carry us to a new number!
- Enjoy the ride, lift something Heavy, cheer your mates to a new PR!!
- Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
- Modify as needed.
