 WoD: "Strike a Pose!"

For Load:

Split Jerk

5 - 3 - 3  -3 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1

  • Heavy day to kick off the week and one that gets us getting all technical as well as (relatively) heavy.
  • The split jerk is equal parts balance, accuracy & coordination as it is speed, power & strength. To truly 'get' this move and get the most out of it you need to be willing to throw yourself wholeheartedly into it. We will use the rep scheme to build toward those heavy singles in the second half. The 'SJ' affords us the ability to get some serious weight moving overhead so work on that catching position in the early sets. Get ready to literally strike that pose!
  • Overall goal today is to build as you go making the four singles at the end heavy ultimately ending the final set as your heaviest.
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale as needed.
