 WoD: "Can You See The Forest For The Trees?" 

Every Minute On The Minute, For 30 Minutes, Alternate Between:

Odd: 16 / 11 Calorie Row

Even: 1 Round of  "Cindy"

  • Super Saturday time!! We've gone long in the last few Saturday's and this one is no exception. Only this time we aren't in a suffer-station, grind-it-out at a slower pace kinda place! Nup, this is interval training at its toughest & finest all at the same time!
  • To remind you, one Round of the WoD "Cindy" is 5 Pull Ups - 10 Push UPs - 15 Air Squats. Great scores in the "Cindy" WoD see folks knock out a complete round in seconds, not minutes. This is the intended dose today. There will of course be set scaled options of gymnastics reps to be offered & considered.
  • By inserting some good rowing/biking conditioning into the mix we can simultaneously train two skills at once (gymnastics cycling & mono-structural conditioning).
  • The minutes away from the gymnastics will also give you some respite away from the pull/push/squat repetition enabling you to keep a certain pace to those proceedings.
  • Like the gymnastics we expect the row cals to be complete with time to spare (at least at the start anyways!!).
  • Now, we aren't completely stupid, we know 30 minutes of continuous effort is going to be a big ask, and maybe some of you won't be able to get all the way through without getting caught by the clock. Choose a scale option that will get you to at least 18 minutes in without being caught. If you do get caught out in the 18-22 minute stage we will have you take a minute off, then re-join in with reduced gymnastics reps AND your cals down (to levels that will enable you can make the numbers inside a minute respectively). If you get all the way to 22 mins untouched and then get caught out in that 22-30 min stage your WoD finishes there & you will do a cool down on one of the spare rowers or bikes for the remainder of the time.
  • Your score will be the amount of rounds you get through before you get caught by the clock + whatever reps you got through in that failed minute. (If you get caught in round 21 your score is 20 + the reps gotten in round 21. If you go all the way through your score is 30).
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale As needed.
