- Technical lift for Strength Day today. Doesn't mean we cant get after it!
- The Power clean & Push jerk is a very cool manoeuvre to master as it carries over HUGELY as this is often most peoples preferred method when inside a MetCon workout. You can build some serious confidence in moving a really heavy loading in a Strength WoD. Then next time we prescribe this move in a WoD then you will be more informed on what weight is right for you for the intended stimulus.
- The Power Clean is also a fantastic display of you your hip power and strength. We basically want to drive as much power and elevation up into the bar to launch it high enough to not force us to squat. Each & every rep you should throw your life into it. Your every ounce & being so that the weight will jump on your command!! The same logic should be applied to the Push Jerk too. You NEED to get that bar so high off your shoulders in the dip & drive phase that it buys you plenty of time to get yourself back under it again! Remember to focus on your feet. Get the feet landing where they need to be and it'll go alright. Land like Bambi walking for the first time and its gonna be a challenging one!
- Get on up here. Move some weight and cheer your friends onto some PR's like they will you!!
- Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
