- Strength Day y'all!
- Going heavy is a wonderful part of a well rounded program. Barbell loves will disagree but you cannot go heavy everyday! You need those days where you don't even go near a barbell or any weightlifting at all. Days where you just need to grind it out with just your own body. Days where you do in fact get a bar in your hand but you are told it should fell hella light and that you can do 30 reps in row!!
- However with that being said there are very much days where we want you to go as heavy as you possibly can whilst staying safe. Today is that such day! The clock is gone, no "as many reps as blah blah blah". Jus you, a loaded barbell and your strength!
- The Push press is an amazing display of your hip function. Last week we had you do some Strict shoulder press in one of your heavy days. This week lets take the next step up the series and use those hips to launch the bar off your shoulders and then PUNCH it up with aggression & might!! Remember though, we are push PRESSING, not push jerking!! Squeeze those quads!!
- Lift Heavy*. Have fun!!
- *= "Heavy" is a relative term. Meaning that the actual number of kgs does not matter. What does matter is that YOU have lifted as Heavy as you were able to safely, & in turn YOU forced an adaptation upon your own body.
- Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
- Modify as needed.
