- The Deadlift can be seen as one the most functional of strength movements you see out there. You are picking something up and then putting it down again. Think to your everyday life and think of these moments whew you are lugging that furniture or grabbing some dirt from Bunnings. We want you to be well prepared for these occurrences. Not only will you be safe but you will be the bad-ass in the room who actually can pick up that stuff with ease and not strain everything trying to do so. #IndependenceAsWeAge.
- Now for some specifics. Today we will be doing 'dead-stop' reps. This means that we won't do "Touch & Go" style reps. We want you to set up properly. Lift it once. Return down safely & under control and then get RESET quickly but ultimately you will drive that second (and third) rep just like it was the very first rep.
- What this does is make our set-up position and initial take off stronger. The rep should be the best looking one but often times it actually can look the worst! Today will help change that.
- Get on up here. Move some weight and cheer your friends onto some PR's like they will you!!
- Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
- Scale as needed.
