 WoD - "To Heaven & Back"

  • This ones reads well hey???
  • With the CrossFit Open coming up very very soon, having the ability to just "rep it out" will be a skill that is worth having up your sleeve. Even if you care not for the "open", just having the ability to perform a masterful Overhead Square is a great asset to be able to call upon as it ups your work capacity and in turn will help you get more Fit. (Not to mention it is a bas ass move and if you can master it you are showing some serous athletic potential).
  • Consider the weight today moderate at the most. 27 reps is a huge amount. No one is telling you you have to go go unbroken, BUT, you will need to be able to get through in no more than 3 attempts. The same logic will apply all the way through.
  • Today you get equal work to rest ratios. 5 glorious minutes ON followed by 5 seemingly rapid minutes REST. Give the large amounts rest owe want you to go hard today! Attack your calories at a rate you know is aggressive yet a pace that will allow you to pick up the barbell in under 15 seconds. Aim 50 + reps in each AMRAP, however we know from experience that there is potential for a LOT more!!
  • Move well, kick some butt, have some fun!
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Modify as needed.
