Oly Strength WoD:

 Clean

1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1 - 1

  • Technical "Heavy Day" on the Rooftop!
  • When we refer to it as simply the "clean" we are referring to the SQUAT Clean.
  • Today is that day where we try to max out on our Clean. Warm up well with the drills & complexes we have for you, and then start hitting some singles. you want your first of the seven work sets to be about the 80% of a known 1 Rep Max. Builds from there if your moving well keeping the speed about you. Remember that it is not your job to pull the bar up to your shoulders. Simply PUSH the bar off the floor with your legs (as high as it will go without the aid of your arms) & then pull yourself UNDER the bar.
  • Go out there, move some weight, cheer your mates on to new PR's (as they will to you), and grab some high five action!! Strength Days are the best when it comes to community interaction in the class. Go talk to someone you wouldn't normally and cheer their lift on. You wouldn't believe the confidence & reassurance that someone can feel when they get little moments like that given to them.
  • Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
  • Scale as needed.
