- Strength Day y'all!
- Two under-utilised movements on the menu today. Firstly the Russian Step-Up. Its a move not commonly known by many. Essentially we are working your lateral, single leg strength (plainly speaking you are to step up sideways to a box). Point of difference being that at the top of your move keep raising the trailing legs' knee up to navel height. (Don't worry, as always we will teach you there finer points).
- Second move, the Floor Press. Its a fantastic move to learn how to brace your body under the bar, get tension & rotation on your shoulders and improve on that pressing strength. We will issue a TEMPO to the lift of 20X2. Lower that bar down nice & safely and then hold it aloft for 2 seconds.
- Lift Heavy* Have fun!!
- *= "Heavy" is a relative term. Meaning that the actual number of kgs does not matter. What does matter is that YOU have lifted as Heavy as you were able to safely, & in turn YOU forced an adaptation upon your own body.
- Hold the standards. Form is priority as always.
- Scale as needed.
